February 2007 Archives
I started mapping out where locations were for the hotels, trying to get a good idea of where I might want to stay (there's more to think about than just the cost). But then I thought "Hmm... maybe other people could use the information I'm gathering." So, a new project is born, which might breathe life into this blog. What I'm working on is a map (powered by Google) that shows where the hotels are, and will also show restaurants, micro brew taps, coffee shops, and MAX rail lines, which I'll be updating as part of My blog up to and through General Assembly 2007.

Ethan Field, known to many for the time he worked in the Youth Office, has written an essay that is speaking to the very soul of many UU Young Adults and aging Youth. I highly recommend reading it http://www.students.umb.edu/ethan_field/uu/uu4life.html
This is a piece in four parts... The first part is the story of my adult life as a UU. Even though the story is very personal, each detail is intended to reveal a little insight about how we young UUs get 'lost'. The second part reflects on where my story leaves me now. Part three is my thoughts about what UU congregations and UU leaders can do. Part four is for my young adult UU peers, who might share my story... and maybe my dreams.

I get all sorts of interesting spam in My email every day. Sometimes I make poetry out of samplings of them, and sometimes I come across things that are precious all on their own, like the following picture:
The story of a seminarian approaching their job at Starbucks as a spiritual practice. Only 3 entries in, and I'm hooked.
Have a nice day.
